Welcome to March at Nese Kids Care Ramona

March is an exciting and creative month at Nese Kids Care Ramona, filled with imaginative learning, seasonal themes, and special classroom celebrations. Our preschool program combines structured early education with playful experiences that help children grow socially, emotionally, and academically.

This month, students will explore literacy, weather, spring traditions, and hands-on discovery through engaging weekly themes designed specifically for early learners.

March Learning Themes

According to our 2026 curriculum schedule, March introduces several engaging topics that encourage curiosity and creativity.

Dr. Seuss Week (March 2–6)

We kick off the month celebrating reading, imagination, and creativity in honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday.

Children participate in themed dress-up days and literacy-focused activities that make learning fun and memorable:

  • Monday – “My Many Colored Days”
Wear as many colors as possible.
  • Tuesday – “Daisy Head Mayzie”
Crazy hair day encourages creativity and self-expression.
  • Wednesday – “Wacky Wednesday”
Wear clothes backwards, mismatched, or inside out.
  • Thursday – “Green Eggs and Ham”
Wear green while exploring playful storytelling themes.
  • Friday – “Cat in the Hat”
Students wear striped shirts and their favorite hats.

These activities help build early reading excitement while encouraging confidence and imagination. Dr.Suess Spirit Week 2026

St. Patrick’s Day & Weather Exploration (March 9–20)

Students learn about seasonal weather patterns, spring changes, and cultural celebrations through art projects, group activities, and early science concepts.

Lessons include:

  • Observing weather changes
  • Discussing seasons and nature
  • Practicing teamwork through themed crafts and activities

Easter & Spring Learning (March 23 – April 3)

As spring arrives, classrooms focus on renewal and growth through hands-on activities that support:

  • fine motor skills
  • creative expression
  • early math and sorting concepts
  • cooperative play

Why Theme-Based Learning Matters

At Nese Kids Care Ramona, monthly themes help children connect learning across subjects. By combining literacy, science, art, and social interaction into one cohesive experience, students develop skills naturally through play and exploration.

Theme-based learning supports:

  • Early language development
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Creativity and imagination
  • Social confidence

Building a Love of Reading Through Dr. Seuss

Dr. Seuss Week is one of our favorite traditions because it introduces children to the joy of books in a fun and approachable way. Dressing up, storytelling, and interactive reading experiences help students associate learning with excitement and creativity from an early age.

These early literacy experiences play an important role in preparing children for kindergarten success.
