March is bringing a season of creativity, discovery, and celebration to our classrooms at Nese Kids Care Mission Valley. As we transition into spring, our students will explore engaging weekly themes designed to support social, emotional, and academic development through hands-on learning experiences.
Each month, we focus on activities that encourage curiosity, collaboration, and confidence while creating meaningful moments our students look forward to every day.
What Children Are Learning This Month
Throughout March, our curriculum introduces exciting seasonal themes that help children learn through exploration and play.
Weekly Learning Themes
Week 1: Pets
Students explore animal care, responsibility, and empathy while learning about different types of pets and their needs.
Week 2: St. Patrick’s Day Fun
Children engage in creative crafts, storytelling, and themed activities celebrating Irish traditions and imaginative play.
Week 3: Lucky Charms
This week focuses on counting, sorting, patterns, and early math skills through playful themed learning.
Week 4: Spring Birds
Students discover nature and seasonal changes while learning about birds, habitats, and the arrival of spring.
We also celebrate Women’s History Month, introducing children to inspiring women who have made a positive impact on the world while encouraging students to dream big and appreciate important people in their lives.

March includes several exciting moments our students always enjoy.
St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
Students will work together to design and build their own leprechaun traps using creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. During nap time, a mischievous leprechaun may stop by for a surprise visit!
Pajama Day — March 6
A favorite classroom tradition where students enjoy a cozy and fun learning day in their pajamas.
Daylight Savings Time — March 8
A helpful reminder for families as we adjust schedules for the seasonal time change.
Eid al-Fitr — March 20
We recognize and celebrate cultural diversity by acknowledging important holidays observed by families in our community.
